Meditating On Words of Long Ago

June 3, 2008 - Leave a Response
All truly wise thoughts have been thoughts already thousands of times; but to make them truly ours, we must think them over again honestly, till they take root in our personal experience. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
One of my obstacles when I sit down to write is the thought that the idea I wish to present has already been put forth, by someone more articulate than I am.

To counter-act this, I try to meditate on wise words of those who have great bodies of work under their name and seek encouragement in their wisdom.

This aid me in loosing the the knots in my mind, letting all the ideas flow and my hand to clatter joyously on the keys, and watch as the words form on the screen.

My thoughts, words my mind churned out, my brain imprint in pixel symbols.

A surreal dialogue : thoughts of a thinker from long ago, liberating the thoughts of a thinker from the present.
